Mike Hedrick, the newly elected president for the Orofino Rotary Club announced that the club will resume weekly Friday noon meetings at the Ponderosa beginning in August.
The Fourth of July food booth went well and netted $1088.73 after expenses. Thanks to everyone who worked the booth.
Jim McCann requested Honorary Membership, which was approved by the board.
Annual dues of $135 were due by July 1. Please mail to Orofino Rotary at PO Box 482, Orofino, ID, 83544 or deliver to John Goffinet or Scott McDonald at a meeting.
Scott McDonald and Randy Bowen are working with the District to replace Club Runner with a new service. They will provide information to all club members when the transition is complete.
Our Rotary District 5080 is dividing up our area into two areas. This will require a new Assistant District Governor for our area. If you are a past-president and are interested in this position, please contact Mike Hedrick.
Community Service Chairman Jim O’Leary provided an update
The club is waiting for the fencing for the park to be delivered. Once it is delivered Jim will coordinate a work party for installation.
Highway 7 cleanup is scheduled for Saturday, July 31 at 8 a.m. We will meet at the large turnout between Orofino and Ahsahka. Please bring water and a hat. Safety vests, bags, and trash grabbers will be provided.
Belinda Stockton and Teri Ploharz-Bolling have been working on the Orofino Fun Run, which is scheduled for Sept 25.
Two new doors and a new front crank lift for the food booth trailer will be purchased These will be installed before Lumberjack Days.
July 21 – Board of Directors Meeting at 7 a.m. at the Ponderosa.
July 23 – Our regular Friday noon meeting will be held at the Ponderosa. Our speaker will be Dawn Earliwine, Clearwater County Treasurer, Tax Collector, and Public Administrator.
July 31 – Highway Cleanup. Meet at 8 a.m. at the large turnout between Orofino and Ahsahka.
